The Women of Africa!

i'll keep this brief, africa ... a continent of fascinations unbound. since i'm ebating with myself about creating a superheroine of african origin, based in algeria ... i wonder how many heroines of african origin are being produced in black comics?. my girl (if i ever go thru with her) afrodika, would hail from of course a fictional nation in algeria. many times we see black characters, but where exactly are those female ones who are of african origins? ...

"ebating" -- great term! I'm not a comic book reader anymore, but as far as I know (very little!) there are no females of African origins. I would imagine that many writers would not understand the distinction. I'm glad that I've been learning. Whether I write a character of African origins or not, understanding that distinction adds to the appreciation and enjoyment of reading about these characters in stories written by others.
